Games and Schedule:
- B League games are on Tuesday nights from 8:15pm to 10:15pm.
- Any game that hasn't been completed by 10:10pm will need to end, and will not be counted as a win or a loss for either team.
- Five games are played each night during the regular season, and playoffs are best 3 out of 5.
- All games are to 25 points, except for the fifth game, which can be to 15 or 25 points as long as both teams agree before the game is started.
- The net level will alternate each week.
- When the net level is on Mens height, anyone gender can hit from in front of the 10 foot line.
- When the net level is on Womens height, only women are allowed to hit from in front of the 10 foot line. Any male is allowed to hit from behind the 10 foot line.
- 2 or more players of that nights strong gender (Women on a womens net, Men on a mens net) are not able to hit the ball over. At least one player of the nights weaker gender must touch the ball, each time the ball comes over, if there is more than one touch.
- When the net level is at Womens height, Men are allowed to block other men, as long as the hit is an aggressive hit. Men can not block a bump or a tip from another man.
Set Up and Take Down:
-
A set up team will be assigned for every night of the season. That team is responsible for having the nets properly set up by 8:30pm.
-
It's the set up teams responsibility to make sure there are enough people helping set up the nets so that it can be done properly. The poles are very easy to tip over, and any damage caused will be the fault of the setup team and could result in a fine.
-
If the setup team does not have the nets setup by 8:30pm, they will be forced to forfeit their first game of the night.
-
Take down is the responsibility of the last two teams that finish playing during the night.
-
Take down includes taking apart the nets and storing them in the closet AND lowering the basketball hoops.
Teams and Players:
-
All players must be 18 years of age to play.
-
All Players must sign the team release form at the beginning of the season. It is the responsibilty of the team captain to make sure that these release forms are filled out correctly.
-
A team must have at least one person of each gender on the court in order to play.
-
A team can have a minimum of four players on the court to play. Less than four players results in a forfeit.
-
There are ghosts in B League. If your team has less than 6 players on the court, and the other team has more players on the court than you, you will need to play with a ghost. That ghost will need to use a serve during every rotation.
- Teams may have as many subs as they want, but subs are only allowed to play on ONE team. Once a sub has played on a team, they are committed to that team only for the remainder of the season.
Playoffs:
-
The top four teams make it into playoffs. The top four teams are determined by winning percentage, not overall wins.
-
Playoffs are double elimination.
-
One net of each level will be setup during each night of playoffs. After each game, the 2 matchs will switch courts, so that they both matchs play on Mens and Reverse net height.
-
During playoffs, the highest ranking team still participating in playoffs will decide what net level that wish to start on.
-
During playoffs, the lowest ranking team still participating in playoffs will be the setup team.
-
In order for a player to be eligible for playoffs, they need to have participated in at least four matchs during the season. Playing in one game during a night counts as playing during that match.
-
Playoffs are best 3 out of 5 games.
