These are the rules that are specific to Men's League.
General:
No international pursuit.
No net contact of any kind.
No "Athletic Play" sets are allowed. Double contact is never allowed during setting.
This is a self reffed league. Players are expected to call themselves on carries, double hits, net contacts, foot faults etc... If there is ever a disagreement or question about the rules or a violation, the point should be replayed.
Games and Schedule:
Mens League games are on Wednesday nights from 8:15pm to 10:15pm.
Any game that hasn't been completed by 10:10pm will need to end, and will not be counted as a win or a loss for either team.
Five games are played each night during the regular season, and playoffs are best 3 out of 5.
All games are to 25 points, except for the fifth game, which can be to 15 points as long as both teams agree before that game is started.
Set Up and Take Down:
A set up team will be assigned for every night of the season. That team is responsible for having the nets properly set up by 8:30pm.
It's the set up teams responsibility to make sure there are enough people helping set up the nets, so that it can be done properly. Any damage caused will be the fault of the setup team and could result in a fine.
If the setup team does not have the nets setup by 8:30pm, they will be forced to forfeit their first game of the night.
Take down includes taking apart the nets and storing them in the closet
Teams and Players:
All players must be 18 years of age to play.
A team can have a minimum of four players on the court to play. Less than four players results in a forfeit.
There are no ghosts in Mens League. Four players rotate and play just like five or six players do.
Teams may have as many subs as they want.
Playoffs:
The top four teams make it into playoffs. The top four teams are determined by winning percentage, not overall wins.
Playoffs are double elimination.
During playoffs, the lowest ranking team still participating in playoffs will be the setup team.
In order for a player to be eligible for playoffs, they need to have participated in at least four matchs during the season. Playing in one game during a night counts as playing during that match. Also, any player that played for more than one team during the season is not eligible for playoffs.
